C.A.S.T., The Centre for Architectural Structures and Technology - will host the first international conference on fabric formwork May 16-18, 2008 at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg Canada.
This will be the first gathering of architects, engineers, builders, students, and manufacturers exploring recent developments in flexible fabric formworks for concrete structures in architecture and engineering. These two days of lectures and presentations by inventors, practitioners and researchers will focus on the new architectural forms made possible by this emerging technology. The conference will include workshop demonstrations of full-scale and model construction techniques.
